This is Renata's account of a
recent ski holiday in
Andorra.
"Arinsal
is a charming resort located high in
the
Pyrenees on the western side of the
Principality.
It is a very popular resort with excellent
apres ski
offering a wide range of
restaurants and
bars.
The neighbouring resort of
Pal is linked with Arinsal and together they form the single lift pass
region of
Vallnord
resulting in a fantastic ski area ( lift pass costs
€ 138.00 for 6 days).
The lift pass also covers the excellent ski area
of
Arcalis, known as the best ski area in Andorra.
From Arinsal it is not so far to Andorra’s capital
Andorra la Vella, where you can find a host of
shops.
Andorra la Vella is a duty-free haven (only half an
hour away from Arinsal by coach) offers great deals
on low-priced electrical goods, perfume, spirits,
cigarettes and ski equipment.
Arinsal offers many traditional restaurants with a
wide range of French and Spanish specialities.
Typical 3-course meal costs approximately €20.
Families are well catered for with kindergarten
facilities and ski schools for all ages.
Arinsal offers some of the best-value skiing to be
found in Europe, as well as snowboarding and an
excellent ski school, its sporting amenities are
matched by a vibrant nightlife with music bars,
discos and low-priced restaurants."
